Description This is the other is the other ilustration for the short story entitled 'Durning' by Anderson Pruty. It will appear in Black Ink Horror Magazine in February.

I'm quite happy with how this turned out, however I've never used so much black in a piece before! I'm usually very conscious of white space, and think of that as my 'negative space', but for this one it was the oposite.

I will let everyone know when this issue will be available to buy, so keep an eye out for a journal soon!

I think this one came out fine. Congrats on the mag. I've sent some stuff in, but no one replied...oh well.

Very nice. You did well with all the black. Very spooky--even before I read the going-in-a-horror-magazine-part this struk me as looking like something that would fit well in a Steven King book.

Awesome, so mysterious. The pic in itself makes me wanna read your story not that I wouldn't want to anyways.

nice! i want to read it now! now! ;_;

wonderful crosshatching all throughout, though it kinda makes the handprint look odd, since it's so flat >_> was the original piece large, or are you just so much better at hatching than I am?

thanks!

i did try to give the handprint some depth but it looked funny, so i agree that it looks flat, i just couldn't get it right!

i did do it on a larger scale so i could get the detail, they needed the piece to be 5X8 and i did it at 10X16 then scaled it down in ps.

oh, that's cool. how do you find a scanner big enough for that? o_O

i have a standard siza scanner, i piece it together in ps or illustrator. it's a pain in the ass, and takes a long time, but thats what i've done for most of the pieces in my gallery. what are you gonna do? i haven't been able to find a bigger scanner.

Looks good. I really like the detail and totally just realized that you're *lynfall too. I was all, wait a sec, is one of the ripping while looking in my devwatch.

that's so funny! awhile ago when you made a comment about getting the sam journal from someone else, i thought you were just kidding!

thanks!

I actually wasn't kidding on that actually. I wasn't aware that you and Lynfall were one in the same at that time (although I should have considering you made told everyone about your separate account )
