Since more people are getting Piliks for I figure I needed to do a full reference sheet so people can draw them.

Sailor Diamond Unicorn's Comprehensive Field Guide to the Creatures Known as Piliks:

Pilikatos Magus, or Pilik for short, are a species that is foreign to planet Earth. We are not sure how they have arrived on this planet and research is still underway to determine their home planet.

Species information:
*Piliks sizes range from soccer ball sized to about the size of a medium sized watermelon.
*Their typical body weight is around 4.5 pounds and rarely exceeds 8 pounds.
*Their bodies are covered in a soft fur with the exception of their underbelly and undertail which is scaly and cool.
*Their underbellies, undertails, horns and eyes are all the same color and they seem to be connected to the color of the crystal of whichever Crystal Animamate was raising them.
*Multiple Piliks raised by the same person have been seen to have differing fur colors as well as differing horn colors.
*Piliks can breathe small amounts of fire (candle flame sized)
*Pilik diets are currently being investigated.
*Piliks are social creatures and enjoy being in groups of 3-6.
*Piliks are also occasionally known to take on personality traits of the ones who raise them.
*Baby Piliks have no feet so they must rely on slithering to get from place to place.
*Piliks underbellies can grip onto many different surfaces, but not windows.
*Piliks have large ears which it uses to help regulate its body temperature.

Pilik traits:
*In their baby stage Piliks sleep with their Tails curled around something so that they do not fall in their sleep.
^Baby Piliks are known to hold each others tails if there is nothing else to hold onto.
*When startled baby Piliks will try to become “bigger” by puffing out their ears and straightening their tails.

A group of Pilik eggs together is called a Rookery
A group of Hatchlings are called a Litter
