Description Spring Event 1: Love is in the Air~

"A-a crush?" Althea asked caught slightly off guard. A warm flush crowded her cheeks, she tried to stifle a smile as she bit her lip. "Well... there is this ONE guy..."

She'd cased the museum all day, knew all of the ins and outs, camera placements and air duct placements. Everything was going to be smooth, just like she had rehearsed over and over again in her head. Her watch beeped the soft red numbers read 12:00. A smirk crossed her face as she slowly removed the large rooftop air duct's cover. placing it gently to the side she wriggled in feet first. From this duct she knew it was a straight drop into the main art exhibit and in the room across the hall lay her prize: The Ice Crown. A large glittering diadem decorated in diamond and white gold with ornate silver trimmings. She secured a hook line to the top of the duct and slowly she lowered herself taking care to not be too loud. At the bottom she removed the grate and carefully made her way down into the main art chamber. Her feet touched down soundlessly onto the floor and she quietly unclipped herself from the rope and snuck her way to the other room where The Ice Crown was. Althea took out her glass cutter and made a large circle in the glass, taking care to keep it quiet she laid it on the carpet. She reached in and lifted The Ice Crown off of its pillow, it seemed to glisten and glow under her touch.

"You don't look anything how I imagined you'd look like Purrloin." A voice spoke suddenly. Startled Althea audibly gasped and nearly dropped her prize. She whirled around to see a man leaning against the door way she had just come through. He was dressed in a short sleeved night patrolman uniform. Her heart raced in panic as he pushed himself off the wall. As he walked towards her she moved carefully around another one of the jewelry displays putting it between the two of them.

"I personally thought you'd be taller. And more laytex." the man mused. Althea shrugged never taking her eyes off of his.

"Laytex doesn't breath well."

The man chuckled as he slowly began circling the display case, keeping sure to stay between Althea and her escape route.

"Why The Ice Crown?" he asked studying her.

"Why not?" Althea countered, her breath was shallow. She made a miscalculation, now she had to think on her feet. The man began pacing back the other way, Althea noticed as he slowly started reaching his arm back behind him. Quickly she ducked down and rushed past him and out the doorway into the hall. Sprinting off to the left where she knew the entrance was she leaped over a banister railing. As she vaulted she took a quick peek behind her to see the patrol man charging after her at full speed. As she landed she sprinted down the hallway under the stairs that lead back through a fossil exhibit and the main exhibit of the museum: A full T-rex fossil standing in full proud glory. She rushed down the hallway and heard a loud thud behind her, the patrol man had jumped the banister too.

"HEY STOP!" The patrolman shouted. Althea could see the entrance to the museum between the teeth of the T-rex and she charged ahead. Ducking under its ribs, she dove out between its teeth somersaulting as she hit the ground like she had learned in her gymnastics classes. Getting back up on her feet she could hear the patrolman panting as he stood staring dumbfounded at her feat of dexterity. Althea pushed out the entrance doors  and ran off into the night her heart beating rapidly. Adrenalin would carry her several more blocks before she clamored up into a fire escape to catch her breath. She stared at her prize as it glistened in the moonlight when she heard the foot falls of someone who was running. Her breath caught as she saw the patrolman jog into the light of the street lamp below her hiding spot. Althea rolled her eyes in exasperation; he had followed her!

She hadn't planned on this. At all. He rested his hands on his knees as he looked around catching his breath. She couldn't help but let out a small laugh.

"Seriously?" she asked him. He turned around to look up at her as she leaned over the railing dangling the diadem.

"My boss would REALLY like it if The Ice Crown wasn't stolen." he panted with a smirk on his face. Althea chuckled.

"Alright," she smiled. "I'll give it back, but you have to come up here and get it."

"Fine." The patrolman said as he walked to the fire escape and pulled down the ladder. Making short work of it he climbed up quickly until he was on the same landing as her. He held his hand out expectantly. Althea held out the diadem just out of his reach and as he went to grab it she slapped a cuff on him and stuck the other to the railing.

"Hey!" the patrolman shouted in surprise.

"Always have a back up plan." Althea grinned as she waved the diadem and began to head up the next flight of stairs. "Don't worry though, i'll leave the keys on the edge of the roof."

She felt a hand grab her forearm.

"I can't let you take it." he said seriously. His light green eyes bore into hers pleadingly. She looked down at his hand and rolled her eyes, sighing she held out the diadem which he took from her quickly as he let her go.

"Thanks..." He muttered holding it close to him.

"This was not part of the plan." Althea muttered to herself as she climbed up the rest of the stairs.

"Hey wait!" He called up to her. She looked over the railing at him.

"What's your name?" he asked. She tutted at him.

"It's Purrloin." She retorted.

"No your real name." he insisted. Althea was taken a bit back by him.

"And just what makes you think I'm going to tell you my real name when you haven't even told me yours?" She asked.

"It's Kent." He replied. Althea frowned at his forwardness.

"Well Kent. I'm not just going to tell you my name but," She paused. "You can call me Al."

"Is that short for Alex?" he asked. Althea scrunched her nose and stuck out her tongue.

"Have a good night Kent." She said as she continued onto the rooftop. She set the keys to the cuffs on the ledge like she promised and dashed off empty handed into the night.
