PSO world contest entry. Well its Karen and Ethan from Phantasy Star Universe. I find it kind of wierd that throughout the entire game as far as I can remember they never even hugged each other, not even once. Even though they love each other.Related content

They did hug. Final cutscene of the base PSU story, for example. Ethan makes an indirect but obvious (and lovely!) confession. Karen throws herself into his arms, tears in her eyes. Credits roll.

Well I havent seen the base ending since 2006. But still I think Sega kind of did a bad job at reflecting how deep thier relationship became. Why can't the hero and the heroine continue to have an openly loving relationship ya know?

A lot of anime and manga suffer from this, you know. They don't dish things out for us and leave it to our imagination what happens next. At least Karen and Ethan have been officially confirmed unlike many other couples in Japanese fiction.

Thats definately true. But, without them ending up being too melodramatic, I would prefer a tad bit more expression considering the more story driven road this game goes down as compared to PSO. Not saying they have to do it in future iterations however.
