Sometimes, a good sunset is all you get out of a chase day. Well this one certainly tried to make up for one bad chase. Ended up all the way in north-central colorado near Fort Morgan. Storms didn't spin, and there wasn't enough available moisture to really make them take off. We ended up getting a dry, dusty shelf and a long drive home. Luckily, we stopped by Lake McConaughy near Ogallala, Nebraska on the way back. Seeing this sunset over the largest lake in Nebraska just about made the trip worth it. And the two young boys fishing to silhouette against the spectacular colors? The icing on the cake.
