Description
Stuck in the monotony of a mild, dry January, so I find myself processing images of snowflakes from last year. This crystal was found on a car's hood in the dorm parking lot, shot between classes. Even if you've only got a few minutes to shoot, it can really pay off! Free to share

Remarkable! Nature (universe/god?) is my favorite designer. The scratches on the hood give the image a nice texture (and probably a headache to the car owner ) Well captured.

OMG. Is this a real snowflake?!?! Don't mind me, I've only lived in singapore and Australia so I have never seen snow..I thought the designs of snowflakes we see all the time were just a -design- like hearts (doesn't actually look like the real thing).
This is so beautiful, I am so fascinated!! Thanks for sharing! wow

I always thought they were microscopic! I can't believe how beautiful they are and how well you captured the image. Wonderful camera btw! Super sharp and clear lol must be like a bazillion megapixels

Megapixels would help if the image had to be cropped in a ton, but this was only a minor crop for compositional purposes. Megapixels really aren't that big of a deal unless you have to crop your images a ton or want to make prints the size of your house. They don't affect image sharpness at all
