Description
Normally, Mona sleeps without issues. But sometimes, she has nightmares; she feel alone, or she's frightened by a shadow in her room. And when even her plushies can't reassure her, she goes to the room next door where her mother sleeps.When it happen, Gert lets her sleep by her side. Sometimes Mona tells her what she was dreaming about; and her mother always listens attentively, to make sure that nothing abnormal, or too familiar, happens to her in her "dreams".
In cases where Mona is really scared to the point of crying, Gert does her best to reassure her. She takes her daughter in her arms and whisper a lullaby. It always work. With that, the little girl and her mother fall asleep.

awwww how kind of Gertrude. (Kinda weird saying that XD) No matter how late night is it , she tries her best to make Mona be in comfort. And actually i can imagine how is she singing with a horrible voice XD , but Mona likes it though

For the Gertrude from the original comic, It's totally the case.
That said,"After IHF" takes place far after the event of the comic. Gert change a bit in term of personality and behavior. She's not the same slaughter machine or as destructive as she used to be.
By this, she's more "normal". Calmer and nicer with some people. Not with everyone, thought. she still have a bad temperament with people she don't like. But with her daughter, the only thing she really care about, she's the nicest as she possibly can be.

Surely. She's the only thing that Gertrude care and have patience with.
Well, he's more like a plot element. He disappear when Gert was pregnant. Leaving her alone. I don't plan to use this guy more than for that backstory. In fact, his identity isn't really important.
