the Happy Masks Workshop is back at it again
i havent done any masks for a whiiiiile now, even tho i have two started and waiting to be finnished ;3;Β
but now was an occasion to work on one and i took the chance
so this is a wip for my Fierce Deity's Mask, a gift i [promised for a friend who i got super into Majora about a year ago XD
im pretty sure i won't make it on time since i have no money to buy materials for the hair :/
life sucks
anyways...i have no much else to say :/
it needs some shading work and aforementioned hair and ears done and it will be a-ok!
i will take a picture and submit it once im done so stay tuned ;3

Looks awesome so far! I made one myself, but it was pretty small, as I didn't have a lot of clay. I really love making masks, since you can go pretty much anywhere with them just from a couple scraps and a flat piece of clay. I've made aboutΒ six masks in half a year, including Majora's mask, the Deku mask, and some of my own designs. I also started the Zora mask and the Nakhriin mask from Skyrim, but my teacher accidentally scrapped those.

i made the shiekah mask (or the mask of truth if that's what you wanna call it), Majora's and now im really slowly working on this one o3oΒ

Yeah, my masks are all decorative, but my FD mask is the only one I can hang up because I put a piece of clay in the back for the hat, and it helped hang up the mask. I keep forgetting the backing for the rest of mine, though.
Also, not sure if this is relevant in any way, but I put a tiara on my Majora's mask because why not

hehe i would not say talented ^^'' there is no much to this one, it's a rather simple project compaired to some others i did (i think Majora's was the hardest one yet...and i need to do a new one since the previous one is pretty hideuos XD)

Well I don't know anything about masks, but it does seems to be on a great start doesn't? The painting seems to be precise and clean. I can't wait to see it once you finished it ^^!
However that's too bad you don't have the money to finish it... Maybe you should try to do some commissions to see if you can gain some through this?

honesly this one is pretty easy, if i get the right materials i will be able to finnish it in about a day i think
buuuuut there's still that money problem :/ well my mom said she can give me the money so maybe i will be able to make it on time ^^
well honesly i'm getting those commissions ready since a while back...but i still can't really get to it, either it be due to PayPal issues or just lack of time or motivation to draw (like, i don't want people to wait long for my works and lately i have been pretty lazy with everything so :/)

No surprises here ^^". After all, when you think Majora Mask you directly think of... Okay Majora but then... Okay Zora mask but that's just me okay? But yeah Fierce Deity is kind of the second most known mask, and for good reasons. So yeah no suprise you decide to do it!
It does sound like easier to do. After all the forms the mask itself doesn't seems too tricky. Just the colouring that need some. PrΓ©cisions.

sure it's one of the most recognised masks for sure o3o plus it's awsome so i was pretty excited to paint it finally ^^ but then there are like, 15 other masks i want to do anyways soooooooooo i guess it's just logical that i went with one of the easier ones XD
yeah that's the poins...especially when you consider the fact that the base for the mask was just made out of a mlod instead of sculpting it from scratch like i did with Majora's...that made is a lot easier...but i think the aspect that will make it tricky is the hair part, which im going to work on today...well we'll see how it goes, hopefully well -3-

Yeah, make the easier one when it comes to start again something you didn't do in a while is logical. I guess you plan in the end to make all the Majora's Mask... Well masks in the end? Or nearly.
Yeah that's what I noticed, I recognized the white materials which reminded me the kind of masks we had my brother and me as a child and we were painting. Nothing wrong with that, since the form seems pretty similar.Β In any case, I'm glad you were able to get the hairs you needed to work! It will be difficult but I'm sure you will do great!
Pffff I can feel it from there too! I will certainly do a quest art myself, depending on how the relationship between Sora and Tamara evolve during it. Or if any kind of other epic or stupid stuff happen (I swear did you have the time to teach your pirate to listen before acting? //Shot)
