Description
Decided to do a Space Marine study and size comparison. Kept ip as minimal details in the armor as possible so it could potentially be from any chapter.EDIT: changed canon and lifted the shoulders a bit.

This is pretty much spot on, probably the most accurate scale-up I've seen to date. Nicely done!

Yay. Somebody who realizes the black carapace isn't a literal black sheath!

Thanks friend, I've been having some comments critcizing my take on the subject, it's refreshing to have someone actually agreeing with me for once.

I have not once seen the black carapace being literally described as looking like a jet black "wife beater" shirt, especially considering Raven Guard and Night Lords are described as being pale white/deathly white. Rather it's just submurged under several layers of tissue with a whole lot of valves, sockets, etc dotting the surface tissue. Kinda annoying how people forget those exist, the suit has to directly link to the body somehow.

Yes, I also support the idea that the black carapace is actually under the skin and. I'm glad to see Erasmus in theΒ latest Lord Inquisitor grey knigth teaser video supports it too.
Space Marine wife beater, I love it! XD

The proportions are out; the guardsman's head is too small, same for the astartes but to the same extent.

it's 8 heads and a half canon proportions for the Astartes, I tried 7 for the guardsman, I saw the 8 and a half in a book and wanted to try it.

Fav i like it .
Personally i think that you show a short primarch and not an Astarte . I love it but it's a bit too big . Β

Yes I might have to work on that, it seems not all Astartes are 3 mts tall.

The shoulder pads and backpack could be a little biger, but other than that this is a nice referenceΒ

The shoulder pads could be a wee bit higher, but other then that it looks great, especially the details on the body.

The novels do mention that the skin over the chest is entirely almost black after the carapace installation is healed.

True, but I decided to alter the design a bit.

Quite good, but the arm and the thighs are a bit strange...

Thank you! I took the idea from the Erasmus video you once sent me, the grey knigth without the armor.

Ah, I was wondering if that was the inspiration. Yeah, I really like that concept of black carapace. It must emerge through the skin in places to allow interface with the armour.
