Description
Gah! It's finally done after so many hours! My mother kept bugging me about this pic because she really wants a copy of it.
I found an old sketch of Pinocchio holding a goldfish from over 2 years ago and just though it'd make a nice vector pic - so I scanned the lined sheet of paper, opened it on Illustrator, and started working on it.
Pinocchio and his goldfish alone is kinda boring, so I added in the Cricket, Fox, Cat, and Dogfish (which was adapted into a Whale) from the original version of the Italian story Le Avventure di Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.
As always, leave a Comment and let me know what you think.

Nice artwork!!! I like how you made the animal characters look like real animals.
Do you have a Tumblr account? If you're interested, I did something similar : joyhorse13.tumblr.com/post/955…

I think the "goldfish" is meant to be a tuna fish (as shown in the book). Other than that, I think this could easily be the front cover to a future edition to Collodi's book

Aww I loved the series when I was a child... the different characters came out very well, but my favorite is the Dogfish... it looks so fantasic here xD
I also like how you used the textures C:
Great job! ;D

Thanks.
Adding in the textures was the fun part, but making the shapes with the Pen Tool... not so much.
I also love the series, despite not being as kid-friendly as the Disney adaptation - they would never animate Pinocchio crushing the cricket dead with his foot, or have him hung on a tree by the fox and cat, lolz.

Haha yeah... I know what you mean. I also hate making the shapes, it's pretty annoying
Lol that's just Disney... trying to be as kid-friendly as possible
