I was doodling in class with my pen and all of a sudden this happened. XD
I normally wouldn't have wasted my time doing this on shitty notebook paper but oh well.

But yeah it started because I've always wanted to make a melanistic deer OC (yeah I know, its so random, but I find mutations like this very interesting). And my best friend was also making an albino deer OC so now was a better time then any. Melanism is a color mutation where there is too much pigment in the skin, causing the animal to be black or very dark. This is an extremely rare mutation to be found in deer, it varies between species. More common/well known examples of this would be black wolves and leopards, and silver foxes. In fact, last trapping season I caught a few melanistic opossums! You can see one of them here (at the bottom of course) sta.sh/0224f0a2vm1a

Welp, I finally did it! I fell in love with this when I was drawing him so hes now and OC.....I just need a name haha.

It was also nice to draw something that wasn't a canine lol.

And ignore the very shitty fox in the background, somehow I managed to butcher its anatomy *facepalm*
