does it, so I thought I'd do it too.These are some of my entries for A Pony a Day , a blog where we accept OC requests and (hopefully) one gets drawn each day. Requests should be open again by the end of this week and, with 5 artists to choose from, it's sure to be a good time.

Sea ponies, cyclops unicorns, pirate alicorns... I do get a lot of crazy ones it seems! It's always a nice suprise though, when I get to do something out of the ordinary. Thanks!

I've been trying to use the character's cutie marks as a motif for the backgrounds. If the shape doesn't work well, or the character doesn't have the butt symbol, I'll try to draw something that flows well. I guess it's worked out okay so far, I haven't got any complaints about it yet. Thanks for that compliment!

Oh! That's an idea. I actually use the cutie mark design (or a simplified version) for the eye shine. Cause they say "the eye is the window to the soul" or some crazy thing like that.

That reminds me of what does occasionally. Except she draws the iris in the shape of the cutie mark. Personally, I like your idea better. It's much more subtle and probably works with just about any design imaginable.

One of my favorite design quirks of hers! But yeah, I prefer keeping it to the eye shine versus the actual iris.
