In the 1987 TMNT cartoon, Splinter never calls the turtles "my sons" and the turtles never call him father.I wanted them to say "My sons" "Father".

The 1987 turtles NEVER called Splinter "Father"..BUUUUUUT, Splinter actually does call them sons in the '87 cartoon.
Watch the entire show and you'll see it. If you don't want to do it, just watch the S04E30 "The Dimension X Story".
I do LOVE all your draws, but this one is my favorite because you put the classic Mirage comic turtles.Β

You know... This makes me think about some other differences between the three animated series. Mostly the turtles' age. In the 2012 series, they feel really young, like anywhere from 13 to 15, while in the 2k3 series they seem older, like around 18-19 or so. But I never really could place the 1987 age-wise. Maybe it's just that back then I was so young that they fell into the vague category of 'older than me'.

The 1980 version seems a little different to me. Sometimes they were adults, sometimes they were teens, and other times, they were kids. I love the series, but it's like the makers of the show didn't k ow how to make them act.Β

They always looked like 18-20 in the 80's for me. So I think the 2012 series are more accurate in that, because honestly, the turtles NEVER seemed to have 15 years old before, which is the age that they are supposed to be
