In the 1987 TMNT cartoon, Splinter never calls the turtles "my sons" and the turtles never call him father.I wanted them to say "My sons" "Father".

i have seen an special where 2897 and 2003 have a crossover...its hilarious, even the very first turtles from the comic appears there, and they have a really cool explanation for it...makin able any future crossover!!!

I love the art style, and the 1987's turtles reactions were adorable!!! I also couldn't stop laughing at the end, especially Raph's face XD All in all, it's amazing and I loves it~

That's one of the things I always liked about the 80s series. They don't have to call him "father" and he doesn't have to call him his sons. In fact, it annoyed me when they constantly said that in the 2003 series. We know, and they know, that they have a father-son relationship. How often does your parent call you "my child"? Not all the time, I bet. The art in this is beautiful but I disagree on your point.

I cannot recall one instance when my dad ever called me that. He knows, and I know, that I'm his son. That's my point. Like you don't usually say "my friend" to your friends. In relationships, you don't usually need this confirmation.
