Holy cow! I can't believe I actually managed to get this done. I've worked on this one so slowly, trying not to rush.I have always been a fan of the Alien franchise since I was a little boy. I still remember watching Aliens when I was 8 years old one Sunday afternoon on Fox and just being really creeped out and having nightmares every night for a week.
I've heard that they are making a prequel to the first movie in the franchise, which will be so awesome, plus it will be all CGI and Rildley Scott will also be directing it. That means that the franchise is going to go back to it's old school basics, the things that made the franchise popular. Yay!

Hey,It wasn't traced. I used a technique called gridding. It was practiced by lots of Renaissance artists, and it's a way of placing a drawing on paper, etc. when doing sketching.

I love love love the head detailing, but you should consider rendering actual claws rather than what the photo depicts. I'm sure if Geiger had it his way, he would have hired an actor with velociraptor DNA. I appreciate this photo a lot though. I am trying to draw one right now and seeing it drawn, rather than a photo is really helpful!!
