I think this is one of a chosen few DD's that are so very deserving. My grandpa died this year and it hit me hard.
I only have one surviving grandparent left and I am 34.
The look on your grandads face says a thousand words. Love,Pride,Joy,just to name a few. They are the ones who lived through the great depression, world wars, they have so much to give and we so much to learn. I applaud you for the love and tenderness this picture shows. These are the pictures that you have to remember every part of that day by. Much love and light to you and your family.
If you have time keep me posted on how he is doing.
Tell him I sent him a kiss on the forhead and I have on red lipstick. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h⦠" width="38" height="15" alt="

I live in Ky and Hospice Caregivers were incredible in our hour of need. I also applaud all caregivers for their work and loving dedication. a.deviantart.net/avatars/l/o/l⦠" alt=" " title="LourdesLaVeau"/>

Just wanted to let you know this person in the bathtub who made us all think is in better place now.
The Camera man said: "My dad passed away gracefully at my sons Apartment while we were visiting for the holidays."
sometimes we get DD after we are gone but i`m sure that would be still something that make us happy in another world. i hope he is happy now.
[sorry if my English is not good]

I myself have been down that road.
This picture shows unadulterated care between a Grown Man and His Grandpa.
If you felt a Tear...let it flow.

my uncle is currently stuck to the bed. sponge baths are the only way to help him now. he cant get up outta bed. so this pic is very moving. gramps can still do things, some others cant anymore since they close to letting go.
may you have a great many days more with your family.

That is a powerful image with a powerful story.
But I feel like an intruder when I look at it. Like I'm stealing some of the intimacy that belongs to other people...

This is one of the most beautiful photographs I have seen.... you need to hush child and appreciate art that captures the subtleties of the human condition.
As I told my daughter the day she said slugs were ugly, They don't think you are all that hot to look at either!

One time i saw this photo I didn't feel anything. I even feel confused! Then I scrolled down and realised my mistake... I judged the picture without caress, without heart, without anything this picture has shown to me. Thanks for awakening me. I just want to stop shouting Grandpa.

That's a very nice capture of this moment, it's really touching. Maybe it touches me more for it reminds me of my father as he was in the final weeks of his life shortened by a cancer, he was still young, only 51, and yet looked so old all of a sudden. Though I miss him I don't see this as bad memories, there was pain of course but must of all there was love and that's what I see
Thank you very much for sharing this moment of life and congrats on the DD

some kids today don't appreciate their elders, I personally love this piece because I took care of my step-grandfather in this way in his final days, and I plan to do the same for my parents when they're like that ^^ I like your son for taking care of your father, that's so sweet you must be proud >w<
