Description I froze two blocks of water with food colouring. They didn't freeze exactly as I envisioned but I like the effect that came out. My master plan was to have the ice cubes melt into a green liquid. I consider this concept a success. I'm not super pleased with the lighting and the reflection/shadows but all in all I like it. I will try more colours and to hone the concept later.

Dear Freckle-fly, this is a beautiful image. With your permission I would love to use it in our e-card (with credits to you of course!) to our friends, tomorrow (March 15, 2014) on the occasion of Holi, the indian festival of colour, and St Patrick's day. Your image is perfect. The ices cubes - our cold Canadian winter - and the colour for holi and the green for st paddy's day. Do let me know if you'd be okay with that. All the very best - looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks it actually worked out as I planned in my head. I thought it might blend nicely and was glad it did.
