It's funny because when I look at this I see the little girl as the alien visiting the tall creature's home planet. She appears to be the strange and out of place one in the picture from my viewpoint.

Every Saturday, when she could get away, the little girl returned to the forest, where the old and wise creature would tell her stories of the past and of worlds far away from this. He longed for his home world, but he was happy to have a friend to share and pass on the tales of his life to.

I got the same impression. Maybe it's because her back is turned to the screen and the tall alien creature is facing the viewer. It makes her more mysterious and strange.

Very interesting picture, certainly gives some thought to what kind of creature it might be, and what outcome the meeting between it and the little girl will be.
