This is brilliant...the contrast of colors is simply stunning! I love how soft the little girl appear in comparison to the creature in the shadows. Even though he appear to be a monster, it seems as if he doesn't intend to really harm anyone...perhaps that's just because of the blue glow.
It's like two opposite worlds colliding at once, and that all life in the forest comes to a standstill to watch these two different forces of innocence and darkness to collide.

And then the girl ate the monster and skipped happily home.

Having made a similar piece, I absolutely love this piece (well, I love anything with monster types, so that may be an understatement...). Love the lighting; I just wished the background would have some more detail, but it's still amazing.
