The very, very, VERY old Freddy Fazbear design. It didn't even have leg joints. It was replaced by a more functional and less ugly model.Related content

The concept IS similar, although your Prototypes were left aside because of their faulty defense mechanisms, my Outdate (maybe Outdates?) was (were?) just unused because he's (they're?) ugly, he (they?) can't walk (notice the lack of leg joints or feet), and he (they?) doesn't (don't?) have much in the way of programming. Also, a better animatronic was introduced, so he (they?) was (were?) locked up inside the Safe Room.
They'd still look good hanging out! And who's to say Outdate Freddy (The Outdates?) won't get a role in a story...

Maybe so. The prototypes were also pretty ugly. (Like, seriously, REALLY ugly.)
