Am not basing this version on TRANSFORMERS ARMADA. All my Transformer character redesigns are based on the GENERATION ONE animated series because that's what most people remember and have the most affection with, including me so when i say that Thrust, Ramjet and Dirge are CONEHEADS, i'm obviously referring to G1.

Well, I always liked the YF-23. But it's not just that one I like. All of the ones based off of aircraft from Ace Combat (like the Morgan and the Falken) are really amazing!

Well the ADFX-01 Morgan, the ADF-01 Falken and the X-02 Wyvern. Those 3 have the best design and the way you stylised their robot modes is believable.

Skywarp's vehicle mode is the ADFX-02 Morgan.

Yes and the Seekers can do supersonic speeds, that's why they are Seekers. You notice that the jet types that i selected for each Seeker is capable of supersonic speeds.

Yeah in the older AC games they used to do the sonic boom when you flew fast enough.

True. The Seekers are suited for air chase/pursuit while the Coneheads are meant for aerial bombardment, hence the choice of the fighter jet types, the Widow, Raptor and the Terminator. That's why they seem to wear hoods, Thrust, Dirge and Ramjet. They are meant to look like assasins. I do want to create that character separation and have a clear distinction between the two Decepticon parties.

I think it's harder to distinguish between individual seekers and coneheads.

Hmmm...that's why i made my designs on them rather distinct and individualized so that guys like you can tell right away the difference.
My Seekers designs have that glossy almost hi tech look to their bot and jet modes while the Coneheads have hoods on their heads in bot mode and their jet modes are the ones commonly used by most countries.

It's been a while since i last played that game or that game series/franchise. Been busy with work and personal stuff so yes, you were correct. My bad. ;D
The Ace Combat series served as my reference guide for adapting modern fighter jet types for the Decepticon Seekers and the Coneheads, as well as the Aerialbots. Particularly The Belkan War.
I just customize the jets basing on a particular character's color. Like say the Falken, i custom colored my Falken to Starscream's Generation One colors of red, gray and light blue plus a little bit of black. That way, i get an overview before i start rendering it in pen, ink and color. Plus it gives me that added incentive and motivation to use those particular customized jets in the game, imagining them as the Decepticon Seekers and Coneheads themselves. Got it?

I was thinking of combining my Aerialbots character designs into Superion and i was wondering if you got ideas on suitable modern jet forms for Skydive and Fireflight.

Well, for Fireflight maybe you could do a Eurofighter. Their uneven wing surfaces make them constantly unstable which could reflect Fireflight's reckless flying.
For skydive, he could be a Saab JAS 39 Gripen. These cool looking aircraft aren't too different to the F-16 Skydive originally was. They also have an in built Electronic Counter Measure system. That seems to fit Skydive's attitude of favouring research over direct combat.

I'm pretty sure that it's called the EF-2000.
Also, my dad knows the person who designed the Eurofighter's wing tips (which are responsible for it's unstable flight).

BTW, am completing the Aerialbots and if my work permits and get some free time to finish my WIP Transformers stuff the yeah, you'll see the whole Aerialbots team with Skydive and Fireflight in the mix. Do look forward to that whenever i get to finish and upload that eventually.
As for them forming Superion, nah. They would only be the Aerialbots team. Same with the Stunticons and Combaticons. They won't be combiners in my TF Universe. The only team that will be a combiner are the DINOBOTS. Too much combiners kinda makes it cheesy and it loses the appeal and coolness factor if we have too many teams forming into big robots. If it were up to me, the only combiner teams that would exist are the Constructicons and the Dinobots and that would make the most sense, since there's a heated rivalry between them in the G1 series.
