Description
Al-Nawfara, meaning "the Fountain" is a famous coffee-house in Damascus, right next to the Umayyad Mosque.

Evenings after 5 (according to my own experience) or 6/7 (according to various sites) Abu Shady leaves his nargileh to sit next to his own portrait and between the ancient poet Antarah and his eternal beloved Abla (you can see her in this photo).
And then he starts reading fairy-tales (: All in Arabic, naturally, but even if you don't understand a word you'll be able to see him "riding a horse", "flying", poking the waiter with his cane,joking with the visitors and sometimes, taking a picture of the latter, who are 50/50 photography and/or fairy-tale lovers, judging from their attitude (:
