So I need to know, what is the trick to capturing lightning? I've tried and failed... U_U
I'm assuming you need to do continuous shots?
My camera can do 5 in a row, but then it needs to breath for a bit... so needless to say, I have a *lot* of shots of grey skies... but that's about it. ^_^
Or do you simply leave the shutter open till a strike happens?

when it is dark outside it works fine

i don't think it's disturbing at all, i actually love the warm streetlight colors against the blue-black sky.
