Well, I frankly thought that Xane was literally a "Nubian War Goddess", who enjoyed being in the mortal realm.
I didn't think that she was just a human, who is from a long line of african women who inherited said power from their respective ancestors.

If you're refering to the "Gods and Goddesses" of GD, like Hercules, Thor or Athena... They aren't really what they've been portrayed as.... In the traditional history sense...

So, Xane's Avatar of Battle status is hereditary?

Looks like Xane used Wisdom as a dump stat in order to put points into libido. What's her alignment? Lawful Horny?

Debra would agree with that assessment.
For example, if it were lawful *and* she had permission from Britanny...
But she doesn't (nor will she ever) and it isn't so Stryyp is safe.

I guess that doesn't apply for alternate universe doubles appearing in FA Commissions.

No commission is canon.

Huh. I guess Xane was just blowing hot air about having taken Hercules' lunch money, then. Unless she can remember what the 'relevant' Xane of that time period did.Β XD

"I take Hercules' lunch money" was her bragging, not a reference to a confrontation.

Ah. So does this make the 'original' Xane a contemporary of the 'Olympian' Gardeners, or did she come after they'd declined? Because if they were the gods of the Age of Wonders, they're a little earlier than her by the timeline you posted. Unless I'm interpreting it incorrectly, which is entirely possible because the end of the Age of Wonders doesn't have a date, just a gap between it and 2,000 BC, where you list the Age of Magic starting with Iceron making the werefolk.

Age of Β Wonders ended cataclysmic-ally, but there were still Olympians holding onto the pieces by the time the Age of Magic was in full swing. Just not nearly as influential. Β The catastrophe that ended the Age of Wonders ended the "halcyon" period of magic. The Age of Magic is it's "post-apocalypse" and there *were* survivors.

Ah, okay. Seemed they were just an Age of Wonders thing, since you had others (primarily Gina) call them 'the gods of the Age of Wonders'... though I suppose that's the trouble of listening to the in-universe narrator, eh?Β XD

Hold that thought though.
This is version 1 and I haven't fully glued it to the canon.
So this is subject to change.

Heh, okay. That's certainly hit me often enough when I've worked on stuff that could be considered canon rather than playing with someone else's toys.

So the stats of the battle avatars change every incarnation. Does it depend on what they might face in that life time?

FredGDPerry In reply to AquaticEmperor [2015-02-03 12:19:09 +0000 UTC]
that's right. Its spirit sees something on the horizon of time that needs her and she's born with as much potential in those areas as it can give her.Β
Of course there's some min-maxing involved....

Interesting . What is the difference between intelligence, wisdom, and constitution? Also is this basedΒ a fictional Nubia loreΒ or an actual Nubia lore

FredGDPerry In reply to partz7 [2015-02-03 04:23:09 +0000 UTC]
fictional. West and Southern African myths are more anthropomorphic. The wind, trees and grass. The animals of the land and the sky. The rain. All have spirits or super-heroic versions. People aren't gods in African myth but heroic figures who gain power from the spirits/deific forces.
