This was taken as part of my photography class work into textures.The image is off a metal bike that is a garden ornament.

I like how balance and form don't seem to take prevalence here. Convention is slightly tossed aside, and like you said, texture dominates.

black and white was a good choice for this shot, giving it an "old" type of style and feel.

I like it. It's a little abstract. I thought it was part of a hose faucet. I like the texture a lot. The only thing I think it could maybe benefit from is a tad more contrast, but I like contrast lol. My photo prof always said to aim for a pure white and a pure black somewhere in the picture. I like it a lot though.
