What's With The Name?: Tim is from Tim Burton, who made movies like Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas. Odd is both because he's just that, and from Odd Thomas, and Sweeney is from Sweeney Todd, who cut people up so his wife could make People Pie (delicious!).

Extra: His ghosts aren't actually, you know, dead people's spirits following him around. They're hallucinations that speak to him and hang around him.He lost his eye in an accident, therefore the eyepatch, and he and his clothes are dirty and a bit torn up, since he's homeless and never allowed into people's houses.
