Description
For fun, I made a comparison for the old "identity spectrum" thing I filled out back in 2010.Here's the 2010 one I filled out and posted: www.deviantart.com/freedomflar…
And here's a blank version: pre00.deviantart.net/6cbc/th/p…
It's super interesting to see how my internal understanding of myself has changed over the years, and how my experiences have somewhat changed as well.
- The 'gender identity' dot moved further and further to the right as a I became more sure of myself, more certain.
- The 'gender expression' dot was towards the middle in 2010 mostly because I basically just wore jeans, plain shirts, and a sweater every single day, so I couldn't call myself either 'feminine' or 'masculine', really. But now that I'm free to actually express myself more, little by little, I'm discovering that I'm weirdly both feminine and masculine, I tend to switch between them a lot and mix them together at once, so I just put the dot squarely in the center,,,, Much easier than to try and stretch it from like, the center of the 'feminine' side of the line to the center of the 'masculine' side of the line. Even if that's technically be more accurate.
- And finally, the 'sexuality' dot has shifted far to the left because my sexuality kind of..... well, Changed, outright. Now that I'm on T, my attraction to women has practically vanished, and my attraction to men is significantly more intense than it was before. And the way it is now feels more..... Right. Comfortable. Who knows, maybe it'll shift around again in the future, but for the moment, this is definitely how I feel.
Probably no one's gonna see this, which is okay because it was mostly for fun and for myself, but if anyone DOES see this, I encourage you to go back and compare how you feel now to how you felt far in the past (if you still have old things like this lying around to compare with)! It's seriously fascinating to see the differences and think on what's changed over the course of your life.
