School has almost eaten me alive. ._.
Here's a pic that I did for my Rendering class. The reference picture used contains objects from my own house. My Jurassic Park T-Rex, terrarium silk plants, and my Revoltech Optimus Prime.
We were told that we could only use a reference picture from something we have physically taken a picture of. I don't know about anyone else, but winter can be pretty boring, and at first I had no idea what to do. We didn't have very much time to think about concepts before we needed to start working (two days) on something, and so I put this little setup together on my kitchen table and had a photo-shoot with my toys.
This photo destroys the detail work I put into the T-Rex. Detail shot can be found here: [link]
Paper: Heavy-weight Bristol Board
Size: 30'' x 24''? Around there.
Medium: Graphite
Time: 60 hours, give or take

Oh, you're clever, using those figures. I really like the contrast on this one, the T-Rex just pops out of the picture.

HA! Classic fannish silliness! I love stuff like this, and the rendering is so gorgeous with your fanatical attention to detail and grayscale values. Just amazing. And huge. Wow. Ambition FTW.
