Yeah, it's a shame some see people are so afraid of nudity.

Shes not even bloody nude, I've seen plenty of people wear less than a short skirt. God forbid anyone sees a cleavage. Sigh.

Okay, in context (meaning with a background that calls for that outfit) it does not need to be explained. As a woman, can you wear that on the street in NYC? Six, 16, or 26, I don't think age matters. Some people don't like stuff like that.
My comment was a suggestion. FM can do whatever he wants. Your comment summed up is, "I'm a woman and am not offended so no woman should find it offensive." Try not to do that because we all have different minds. My thinking is not going to always be like yours just because we share an art forum.

Whoa there man, chill. I'm not normally one to start shit, but now you're just being obnoxious.
Also, as someone who is from the NYC area, actually, YES I could wear that on the street in the city. In fact, if I wanted to it is even be LEGAL for me to just go straight-up topless in NYC if I wanted. Not that I would, but if I wanted I absolutely could.
I'm not saying you have to change your thinking, but honestly it's a little out-dated and uncalled for considering there's zero nudity involved. Are you living in the 1800's? And you're right, artists can do whatever they want - so why are you trying to tell someone to do otherwise?
If people are offended by an image like this (again, with absolutely no nudity) or made "uncomfortable" by an image like this then they might need to grow up a little or go to another web page.
Your comment summed up is "I'm a man who thinks women need to cover up because god forbid someone gets a little upset by a piece of art."

I have students who wear tiny shorts or skirts, no one has said a thing.
You are creepy.

Why? Thighs aren't sexual. Fact is, you have characters in your gallery that are wearing short shorts.

This is shameless I know but while you were in my gallery, did you see anything you liked? Also if you were to rate my art, does it need work, is it ok, is it good, or wow! this guy is unbelievable asking for critique here and now?

The human body is not a thing to be feared, my friend. Most of us have 'em.
Regardless, great work on the figure and the hair has a lovely, crisp shape to it. Awesome job, FreeMech.

THANK YOU for saying that haha. I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that comment and went "whaaaat?"

Of course, it just gets tiring to see that criticism like that ESPECIALLY coming from fellow artists. How can you improve your skills if studying someone's body in a non-sexual way makes you uncomfortable? It's just strange (and puritan lol)
