I think we're all aspiring artists, but if you specifically mean improvement of your craft I'd say keep practicing and observing the work of others. Do gesture drawings and keep developing your understanding of the human form (and everything else). Any great artist will tell you that there is never enough practice in this area. And you don't have to draw hyper-realistic characters, but it improves the credibility of your story when characters are positioned and function in a fluid and believable manner.
And look at all of your favorite artists and try to understand what it is about of their work that makes them so appealing and what aspects you don't care for as much, then integrate it in to your own work accordingly. Every good artist's work is just a combination of the artists that inspired him/her blended with personal aesthetics, which all culminates in the artistic short-hand we call "style".
