The two women had been fighting for ages and couldn't get an advantage over each other. At some point both breathing hard, Ellie put all her momentum into a swing and fell down as she missed, Rin dodging to the side also fell. They both tried to scramble to get up but couldn't ending up simply sat down on the ground.
"You want a break?" Rin asked.
"Fuck you," Ellie told her.
They sat in silence for a minute, Ellie pulled out some cigarettes and offered one to Rin, Rin wouldn't usually but she shrugged and took one, they weren't gonna kill her.
"I think there's been a misunderstanding," Rin said before Ellie lit her cigarette.
"You go first, why you after me and the girl?"
"You're an unknown to me, I just want to protect the girl, make sure the Daughters of Chaos don't get her or anyone else."
"So you're not with them?"
"I've been fighting them since before you were born," Rin chuckled.
"You're like the same age as me," Ellie looked confused.
"It's a long story," Rin sighed, "Listen, I think we're on the same side here, the Daughters of Chaos are a big problem for both of us."
