"I need to, it's my duty to protect this world, not just this city," Rin returned the embrace, "I will be back, I promise."
Ellie tried to come up with an argument but she had nothing. Her reasons were selfish, Rin never thought about herself, her staying with Ellie for as long as she has is a miracle in itself.
"I need you here," Was all Ellie could say, "You don't owe the world a thing."
"You don't owe this city but you choose to fight for it, it's no different, you just focus yourself more than I do."
"You promise you'll come back?"
"Every opportunity I can, this isn't goodbye, I will return, you've sparked something in me I haven't felt in a very long time, I want to make this work."
