I really needed to get this image quickly out of the way. And this goes to express every single pet peeve I have relating to Jak fandom.The reason why I gave it its title was because most of the pet peeves link to the huge excess of fanart for Jak the character. This fatal action is seen most especially around Fanart Central, where scribbles of that character seem to be the only ones getting comments around there.
And so, I'll link you towards the characters in the image and the pet peeve relations one by one.
DAXTER - "I'm more adorable!!!"
Personally, I see Daxter as the cuter character of the pair. Why? Because he's got a lot of character within him, a lot of charm and wit within every comment he makes, and he knows how to lighten up the darker of situations. I'm surprised on the total lack of artwork for him, aside from images as submitted by *Keysha-chan and ~ Amandaxter to name but a few.
TESS - "Don't diss me 'cause I'm blonde!"
While going around the Jak fandom area, I've noticed that people hate Tess because she's been recognised as either a "slut", a "Daxter-pincher" and/or a "stupid blonde". I'm probably wasting typing space on this, but I see her as a sweet character, and a nice way to give Daxter a little bit of respect for him. I'm also interested on her role in Jak 3 if anything. ^^
KEIRA - "Leave my Jak alone, fangirls!"
This is probably the angriest panel I've layered down, which is shown by the sloppy nature I've ended up applying to her face. I've heard that every single Jak fan I know (most if not that) created a fan character of their own to pinch Jak from Keira and make them fall in love with him in the end. ~turquoisephoenix would point out from those characteristics that those are Mary-Sues, and you know how much the fandom area really hates that. I just think that Jak and Keira are meant to be.
Alongside with the Tess panel, Keira's expression also shows another peeve of mine - Jak yaoi. I find that totally unbearable to take in, whether it's through imagery or fanfiction, and that totally takes away the strong nature of the characters. I'm sorry, but bishie-to-bishie is really not my thing, and it reallly does not work well in the context of a strong backdrop like the Jak set.
BARON PRAXIS - "At least credit me for his Dark Jak form!"
*lionessb passed me a valid statement in an MSN conversation once. During replies, she passed over a message saying on the lines of "without the Baron's input, Dark Jak would never exist". And you know how much some people have fallen in love with Dark Jak, AD especially. But what shocked me the most was that there's barely any fanart for him out there. I even wrote a tutorial on how to draw him, but... nothing followed on. So therefore, it's shown that a lot of Jak fans hate him for just that one Dark Eco experiment. And that's what bothered me more than anything. -_-
KREW - "I have an inner character, you know!"
I know that Krew isn't the most likeable of characters, but what I hated to see in fanfics is that he get picked on due to his outside appearance and eating habits. Being a victim of such things myself, that is a case of true harassment on a harmless character!!! I know how his attitude was reflected near the end of the game, but he has to be appreciated by the inner sly character we see for him, just like that.
VIN - "What are you looking at?"
This was originally meant to be Kor, but I would have thought Vin managed to fit the bill that little bit better. It was partially made to be there for entertainment's sake, but after looking on at his fanbase, he too seems to have too little respect. I know he gets fanart every now and again, but I am so shocked to see that he hasn't got enough already.
And so thus ends this more rant-esque image. When I submit this to FAC, I will be able to prove my point that the Jak fan images over there deserve more focus on every other character rather than Jak himself. Hear me you scribble-punks, your days are numbered.

This is artwork for Jak II (PS2), specifically headshots of the cast excluding the aforementioned protagonist. I thought I clearly stated it in the description. o_O()

My favorite panel is definitely the Keira one. She and Jak are my absolute favorite couple, and I get so fed up with people bashing her and/or having Jak fall for their OCs.

Yeah, People tend to forget that without Praxis, there would be no 'super sexy Dark Jak' or whatever title the fangirls give him 
Tess and Keira both look rather cute here. ^^ Though I was a 'Tess Hater' at one point, I guess I couldn't really get used to her attitude. Though I never actually saw her as 'dumb' (god...people and their fixations with 'dumb blondes' *cough* HELLO!?! What colour is your beloved Jak's hair?). I don't even think she belives Daxter's tall tales...she's just playing along. (And I'd probably do the same too
Krew is a character that (honestly) scares me a bit. Though his lines are amusing. I wouldn't pick on him in a fanfic...just write him the way he was portrayed in the game.
Anyways, great sum-up of the characters hon! I love Daxter's rather annoyed little expression there!

Heyhey, that's the first piece of fanart I've seen with Krew included in it! That guy definately needs more lurve. I did'nt know that so many people dislike Tess...she's not that bad a character. Fairly stereotypical of blondes I admit, but she has a great persona and the whole thing between her and Daxter just...works. I'm glad they gave her a more decent role in Jak3 anyway.
Keira on the other hand, I'm not too fussed on. I'm not a hater, she's just not up my alley (and for some reason in Jak2 her eyes look huge in comparison to the first game...or mabye that's just me O.o)
As for Jak yaoi...I'm in no way homophobic but I really don't like it...some of the subtle stuff is fine, but when it gets physical between Jak and Torn or something, I can't read it.

Dark Jak is more or less a double edged sword for Jak anyways. it does make him more powerful; but twice as psycjho. Still yes, Praxis needs all the credit he cane get for that. 
As for Daxter....loveable Daxter. I agree with him. He';s loud, annoying, but you can't resist hugging him.
Bravo Rexy. You managed to narrow down their personalities. Clever pic you devised. it certainly tells us more.

Really brings out the good point of the hated & silent characters. ^_^ Good idea to draw this Rexy!!!! I shall now quicly do this my opinion compared to yours-thing... 
Daxter: Loved him more than Jak in the first game, and I guess I still prefer the ottsel more than Jak.... 
Tess: Personally, to me she ain't much of a character. Really don'tcare about her anymore. Used to hate her too to get more attention and friends, but eh.... Ppl change. Still don't like the Dax/Tess pairing though... x.x *shot*
Keira: Absolutely cute and allmost loveable in the first game, but they changed her looks a little too much in Jak II. I would have liked the darker-green hair.... but what can ya do. Mostly, I don't care that much about Keira either.
Baron Praxis: Perfect voice actor, perfect personality, perfect villian... Can't see why people don't draw/fancy him that much.
Krew: To be honest again, I like his gangster role they gave him in the game.

I have the sudden urge to write a Krew fanfic. Just to somehow change all this biased opinions in the Jak and Daxter fandom. (Maybe throw him a girlfriend for good measure.) I actually liked Krew. Sure, he was a bloated mass of fat, but geez, that doesn't give the Jak fans any reason to ignore him...
Vin. He's my absolute favorite. I bet half the fans didn't even notice that he...until the very end. He'd better get at least a mention in the 3rd game, or I'll...*fangirlish supressed*

Wow, a lot of your feelings on the characters are what I think of the J+D fandom, or pretty darn close. I kinda wish I had once written down what my feelings were on each character BEFORE I found the fanart and fanfiction, because my opinions on them have changed a bit since then...but probably stronger for Keira and such, because of all her bashing. XP I mean, I once posted a pic of Jak and Keira snuggling...well, it didn't get flames, exactly, but it got a lot of "i think keira's a bitch and i want her to die, but good pic besides that" sorta thing. x_x
Daxter gets some attention, but more as a cuddly-snuggletoy than an actual character. His cuteness betrays him. x3 I hear in Jak 3 they'll be explaining his past as well as Jak's...so maybe he'll get some love there. And he's the "voice of reason" there too, it seems...
Oh yes, of course, since Tess isn't a tomboy-kick-ass-fighter, she's completely useless. Let's totally ignore the fact that it takes a whole lot of skill to be a spy, and that she MUST be pretty damn clever, or she would have given the Underground away. I bet you if Ashelin was in her place, would have lost her temper or something with Krew and spilled everything... >__<
Ah yes, Keira...I like her. I've always liked her...not so that she's my favorite character by any means, and her squeaky voice can grate my nerves when she's lecturing Jak in the first game, but that's NO reason to make her want to burn in hell. She's. Done. Nothing. Wrong. x__x The fangirls come up with some pretty freaking lame excuses for hating her, like that she "betrayed Jak by dating Erol". They never said she was even WITH Erol...I always thought he was just on her team, and she liked him since he won lots of races for them. He's the one who had the hots for HER...bleh.
I always thought Praxis was a decent dude, at least near the end, when it showed that he wasn't in it for personal profit, like Erol...he just wanted to be a good leader. I'm guilty of never drawing him, just because...he's hard. o_o;; I'll take a look at that tutorial.
If Krew was some skinny jackass like Erol, he'd be surrounded by fangirls. I think that explains the shallowness of fangirls in a nutshell.
*glances around and hugs Vin tight* ;_; I'm a HUGE fan of Vin, he is, and will always be, my favorite character.(Yeah, I bawled when Samos said he died...and when I found out that he's probably not coming back in Jak 3...I bawled more. ;_
Sometimes I wish that all the characters looked the same, and you could only know their personalities...but that would make a pretty boring game. X3 I like your boldness of posting this! I've always been too much of a weenie to post anything purely anti-anti-Keira...maybe I will now. >:3

alot, but I love drawing Daxxie too! It's sweet of Tess to like Dax even though he's in Ottsel form, but he still has a human heart.

Wow, Rex. This is a perfect piece to explain how the good fan feels. I'll let you know I read and agree with every word in your description. Every. Word. Most especially sad to me is the hatred of the JakxKeira pairing. I totally adoooore that pairing (one of the few, heh) and hate to see all these fangirls destorying the odd romantic chemistry that Naughty Dog has going. I mean, had they kept Keira the same, she'd have been boring. Glad to see ND decided to make her with a unique attitude. And another thing is the Tess bashing. Gah. Tess is NOT a dumb blone (this coming from a blonde, XD). And I literally got teary-eyed when Praxis died. Darn them all.
Anyway. Must comment on the picture itself now, eh? Because it's VERYYY amazing there, Rex. You're improving at a mile a second, most especially in the facial structure department! Definitely love the expressions, too, as they are showing very strong and recognizable emotions. The coloring quality is as solid as ever, and I really love how you went about the metal in Praxis's suit. Only thing I could point out is that the females' eyebrows could be a tad bit thinner and shapely. Either way, this is a great piece and should really show those over-the-top Jak fangirls a thing or two (that is... if they can grasp it.

i never got to play Jak2 yet sadly so i don't know some of the Chary that well. you should tell your point of view to FAC, that way you may get what you hope for.

First off, I Am SICK and TIRED of Tess and Kiera haters. Everytime people hate Tess, it's "cuz' she's a dumb blonde". How? The only time she was "dumb" was believing in Daxter's stories. Other then that, she remain a constant help to Jak and friends such as spying on Krew to taking the Time Map to Kiera.
Kiera haters hate her because she is the main inerest in Jak. What a pathetic excuse. They even blame her for being so cruel to Jak when they meet. Geez, Jak has changed drastically so much, of course Kiera would feel that well! In short, people have lame excuses for hating characters.
I admit I dabble too much on Jak art, but I certainly chose not to ignore the others and I respect each and every character. Hell, the only two I hate in every single form of media I watch are Tidus and Ash which isn't even a third of the characters I know in TVs and video games.

Nice, I like the idea you put behind this pic, on how everyone loves Jak so much. I've never played the games, but I always thought Daxter would be more popular, because he's cute and cuddly.
Fangirls making up characters to fall in love with Jak....that happens in every fandom, it's so damn annoying. Especially in fics based on singers, where there is almost always a shy female with a dark past who steals the heart of male singer x. But, that's better than the Benji/Joel Madden twincest...*shudders*
