"Ohhh, Lil' Brudder! Why? Why is the world so hard on all the little one-legged creatures?"

When I saw the "tears" bulletin for the Multi Picture Project, you know that a very, VERY good reason to draw Homestar Runner was afoot.

The inspiration obviously comes from this very well-known Strong Bad Email , in which Strong Bad draws a picture of a one-legged puppy called Lil' Brudder and reduces Homestar (and to some extent The Cheat and himself) into tears. This gag also continued on for a short based on Lil' Brudder getting his own cartoon and a small cameo in Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free.

So, by studying the instances where Homestar ended up in tears in all three scenarios, it's a case of trying to get his feelings and sombreness done just right. I admit, The Stick makes a great suport for the drawing and all

What I wasn't too happy on was the coloring. At that time, my light blue and light green markers died so that meant going for darker colors than the usual. I'm not overtly satisfied with the tones in comparison to the brightness of Free Country, USA during the daytime, but it still works for me, and also for the general moods of the pic.

Still, I love the Homestar universe. And there's plenty more where that came from, I assure you.
