This is like the crustacean the Cybermen would have. Not as meals but as little friends. And not the new, fake, Marxist Doctor Who, but the classic.

What's better than a crawdad? A robo-crawdad, naturally. Outstanding render.

Ah, looks familiar.
Blender is great, there's no doubt about it.

really nice! Did you get the depth of field in Bender or put it in post process?

frequenzlos In reply to unigami [2013-03-01 12:39:49 +0000 UTC]

Rocks look a bit weird, but rest is pure awesomeness.

Wow nice!!!
I have a question, is the star on the fin a texture or how did you get it there?

yes it`s a texture. i made this texture in gimp. then i mixed it with the normal plastic shader (mix shader) and the fac of the mix shader is a b&w version of the texture...

Ooo can you show your process work? I'm curious as to how you started modelling it. Seems a little intricate.

I have a pet crawfish and this would be awesome to have! It looks super badass.

Can you make a tutorial video? Just recording something easy being made by you, with a little bit of voice over? I'm trying to get into blender and that would be super helpful.

If lobster knife fight was awesome (there's a pic on the internet of it), then robot lobster knife fight would be better.
