Description
Oh, I worked over a long time on this (the anatomy has got kinda strange), but finally I finished it.
It started with a traditional sketch of a Haradrim (I once showed it in a status update, but you probably can't remember) and after I finished the b'n'w-version, I decided I should give colour a try....Well, first time on a character, I have to learn how to do it better, it seems quite flat to me 
Well, any tips/feedback are always welcome!

In the poll, 'Azaghal vs Glaurung' and 'The problem with maps' werre battling all the time, but I decided to paint 'The problem with maps' before, because the idea is a bit older than the others. I have no idea what you guys imagined by the title, but well....let's see
Sorry for the update again, I was annoyed by the yellowish background and took down the saturation of this.

I can see what you mean by flat but your shading is so well done in this piece. The clothes, the belt, the table, they've got great texture.

Ehh. . . You're asking someone who doesn't have a lot of depth in their work but I'll give it a shot:
Looking at your other pieces that have good depth (Lady of Rohan, and A Moment of Rest) tells me that this image might not have enough contrast? If you take this image and look at it in grayscale form it has a lot of grey values. Perhaps the darks need to be darker and the lights need to be lighter?
I'm afraid that's all I can think of. Again, I don't practice depth alot so I might be off. But every now and then I show a glimmer of intelligence. Hope it helps!

The thing with the contrast is possible. I actually started black and white, but maybe the contrast wasn't already enough then, or it got lost in the colouring phase. Thank you!

Sehr schönes Bild, ich mag vor allem den Gewürztisch sehr gern, der ist dir wirklich gut gelungen!
Die Farben sind auch super aufeinander abgestimmt und der Gesichtsausdruck gibt dem Bild noch einmal diese "Ruhe".

Du spricht darüber, dass es flach wirkt und ich sehe den Fehler.
Das Verhätlnis Person zum Gewürzstand ist eigentlich super. Das hast du erreicht u.a. durch den breiten Schatten auf den Stand. Es entseht ein Raum zwischen Figur und dem Objekt.
Die Figur selbst und v.a. der linke Arms (aus Sicht der Person) wirkt flach. Der Oberarm ist sehr verkürzt. Man könnte auf Perspektive schließen, aber das Auge lässt es nicht zu aus Ermangelung an Schatten auf dem restlichen Körper. Sprich es fehlt der Schatten des erhobenen linken Arms auf dem Körper. Würdest du mehr Schatten auf dem Körper von Arm plus Ärmelrobe zulassen, würdest du Raum zw. dem Arm und der Figur schaffen und schon hättest du noch mehr Tiefe geschaffen und es würde weniger flach wirken.
Vllcht sollten auch die hinteren Tischbeime düsterer/dumpfer wirken.
