Description
I managed today's Inktober beside school!
Though I have to say that was the second try...I actually planned a sociocritical thing, but it included a mirror image...well, I wasn't concentrated and made things to fast...then I gave it up.
This was the second idea: Isildur.
I don't know if everything is recognizable or understandable for everyone. I try to explain.
With Isildur, Sauron was defeated. He cut off the One Ring from Sauron's Finger and he lost his power, but instead of destroying the Ring in Mount Doom where it was made, he took the Ring himself, which should be his death. When Isildur wanted to escape from orcs, he put on the Ring (which makes someone invisible) and wanted to swim though the Anduin, the Ring slipped off his finger and the orcs discovered him and killed him.
Doe with ink pens (0.1 and 0.3 mm) and ink wash.

Dayum, spot on with this one! The weakness of men is prevalent, only a true Hobbit can carry that ring.

Indeed! Especially those who actually don't want it.

So awesomely depicted from the story! Love it, the reflection in the water is so cool and telling and it's so fitted! He was indeed weak to the influence of the ring, great one!

you know, if that things is now in legends people should not Hear the lies of that thing.
however the ring purposely targets, weak willed, Idiots, and desperate people.
still people should not hear the lies, the rings just gives power to Sauron it doesnt give them power. (unless you want to be Wraith for the rest of your life)

Yes, this is the misbelief. Still, it seems to be too nice to let it be. But mankind has not the power to control ut, although they wish the would have. And there it starts...

this is so wonderfully made!!! I love the contrast between the 2 expressions, poses and moments... it's so amazingly thought, and beautifully drawn!

Oh wow Floris, you tell such a good story in these single illustration works, the use you made of the reflection to tell the other half of this tale is awesome!! Β

Ich finde, dass es eine sehr schΓΆne, Anduin-tiefgrΓΌndige Idee ist. Auch die Umsetzung ist klasse.
FΓΌr einen 2nd try - Kudos.
