Wow O.O This is fantastic... this picture is really alive. The simplicity of Bilbo's home and furniture, the geometric engravings on Thorin's bracers and headgear, the posture that captures Dwarven cultural pride... this beats my mental image of this scene of the Hobbit, hands-down. Well done

I take special care into putting a piece of paper beneath my hand while I draw each individual part to avoid smudging

That's a great idea! I tend to avoid graphite now; I use to to sketch, then ink and acrylic go into the rest.
