lol, this was film (hence the yellow line and white at the top - it was the very beginning of the film, and I hadn't wound on enough, haha. But I like the effect), but it works just as well on digital.
Do you remember that night photography workshop we did? That's really what started me on light painting...
Basically you set up something in darkness, and then light it with torches, with a long exposure! I love it, but its very time-consuming!

So, what technique did you use?

I did this one on film, which is why there is the line at the top (oops!), but I like it.
In this photo, I used a rather bright white torch to get the overall shape and shadows, and then a smaller blue/purple one over the top. The pose is hard to hold though, so my model moved, which is why its a bit blurry.
