I never know where to start with these things, so I'll just go for it xD Also! I hate the stars so I just do them all as 5 because they make me uncomfortable. I think rating someone's art on a 1-5 scale is awkward and rude. lol

As a character in general, she seems very nice! I'm actually curious to hear more about her e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/> She looks like she's pretty smart e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

You did a really great job on the eyes, which is something that usually takes people a long time to get good at. Your sense of shading, light, and size are all very impressive. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/> The right one is a bit smaller than the left, which is something that every artist ever struggles with, so don't worry too much :3 Since her head is tilted to the side just a bit, you might want to make her left eye a bit smaller instead to show the tiny bit of distance.

The nose and lips are good, but I would definately bring the nose down a bit further. If you look at your own face, you'll see that the gap between your top lip and the bottom of your nose is usually about as wide as a finger. Here are two really good tutorial/references to look at for facial anatomy:

Her ear is a bit big, which is partially because it's an elf ear, of course! The way I usually draw elf ears is to draw a normal ear, and then extend it. If you'd like to look at a lot of different elf ears, I've had a lot of people draw my character Leina, and you can see them here: sta.sh/218ryf98kcf9 It's always nice to see how other people do things so you can pick out the details you like and adapt them to your own style. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

For her body, her shoulders are a bit small and high. If you look at yourself in the mirror, pay careful attention to the distance between the tops of your shoulders and your armpits. There has to be room for your collar bones and stuff e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/> I can't really find a good ref that explains what I mean, but this pic might help: fav.me/d858d40 and also, if you google "strapless dress" and look at the images, it gives you a good idea :3

As for your shading, that's good too e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/> I'm really bad at shading so I don't really have any advice here sorry D:

And lastly, just the overall quality of your picture- I'm assuming you used a camera to take a picture. I would definately invest in a scanner (you can get them relatively cheap- if you want to try, amazon.com is having a sale in a few days and you might be able to get one for a really good price. Until then, I would suggest using a photo editing program to increase the contrast in your photos. It will take some of the overall grey out, show your details better, and make the picture look cleaner. I did this one for you so you can see what it looks like. sta.sh/01hnwwmfuyjg (I use a free website called "ribbit". "Auto-fix" usually fixes it nicely, but sometimes you have to play around with the options. For this one, I had to rotate the picture a little to hide the black corner, because auto-fix was adjusting it based off that super dark spot.) Until you can get a scanner, I also recommend taking photos out in the daylight, or under a very bright light. It will make them look nicer, and also make them easier to edit.

And I think that about covers it e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/> I hope that helped, I'm kinda rambley
