KATNISS AND GALE YEEEAH**Spoilers from Catching Fire**
This scene is from the book, Catching Fire, when Gale kissed Katniss for the first time while they were out in the woods, gearing up to go home. It's probably my favorite romantic scene because it was so unexpected, and after about a thousand kisses with Peeta in the arena, this was the first one that actually counted.
Not that I'm super big on romance or anything. I just thought it was nice.

I really love this drawing! I've always felt that it was a little to obvious that Katniss and Peeta would end up together. I feel like Peeta is to perfect and amazing and awesome, and in no way am I trying to hate of Peeta. Truthfully I love Peeta's character but I feel like he is only there as a motivation. When he got hijacked it was only because it would hurt Katniss. And Gale knows so much about Katniss. Katniss could only be herself around Gale. But to be honest Gale is a jerk sometimes. And (spoilers!) Gale DID NOT KILL PRIM! He thought up the idea for the bomb but he didn't make the bomb real and he didn't drop it on Prim. Great drawing again and sorry for the rant.

INice pic but not sure how people look at it and think they should be together. He forced the kiss on her because he had to do it at least once. What about what she wanted? That's how you treat a friend who needs your support after going through a traumatic experience - forcing a kiss? That's not romantic it's dysfunctional and continues throughout the series.
And she only felt hunger an stirring and warmth and heat and impossible goodness with Peeta. She did not even register any feelings in this kiss with Gale, which he forced on her btw
And she never said anything about this kiss counting for anything. Please reread before making such egregious comments. Yeah, Sooooo romantic.

Ok, i love gale more than i can possibly put into words, but i honestly think peeta is better for katniss. don't hate me!! while it is true she was forced into loving him at first, i think she truly fell in love with him over time. there are only like four men katniss thinks of fondly, and peeta is the second one in the timeline. yes, suzanne collins did mention gale first in the book, but if you're looking at it from katniss's pov peeta is the second guy to really make an impact on her life. he's right after her dad. so there's always gonna be that sense of security (for lack of a better word) with him. plus when you add in the nighqmares from the games he's really the only person who can protect her. just my thoughts... and maybe it's best that she ended up with peeta. more gale for us right?

I don't get it. Not this, I mean other people's perspectives. I don't get how she got with Peeta. To be honest, I don't think they're in love. Gale and Katniss had this friendship. Her best friend is Gale. He's been with her thin and through ever since she was young. ;( so sad

I absolutly love Peeta, because he's just so selfless, caring, and romantic, but Gale. He and Katniss have been friends forever, and they really know each other. Sure, Peeta helped her out that one time with the bread, but Gale's helped countless time after that. I like Peeta better, but gosh, Gale and Katniss are just.. right.

Even before the ending, I disliked him. He was hinted as a killer. He said there no difference between killing a person and an animal. He saw her as an option and cheated on her with Madge. Gale even said he's kissed many girls before her and told her. I wasn't surprised that he would make a bomb that killed Capitol children.
