HANDCUFFS! LOL! The biggest joke of all is that the whole handcuff bit originated from a need to get DG and Cain some page time in a supposed DG/Cain oneshot that Officer Gulch had basically taken over. Ah, but the story wouldn't be the same without them, so glad serendipity or fate or whim or whatever stepped in.
Cain: "You aren't going anywhere without me, Princess."
DG: "Wasn't planning on it." i/Must steal keys!/i
Giggled in manical delight when your PM popped up in my inbox. Picture is awesome. Cain looks like he thinks DG might be up to something, I think he might be right.

Officer Gulch went from a momentary blip to my second favorite character in the whole series because of you. I look at that five second appearance now and read soooooo much more into it.
Had to do the handcuffs though, it is just so iconic for the story. I can say 'click' to my sister now and we both go into peals of giggles.

Classic, the between sister jokes that no one else around can possible get are always the best. As for the reading into the blips, I think the entirety of their relationship is based on his slight smile in handing her the ticket and her slightly mischievous one when she was declaring him a menace. It was unconscious at first, but as they continued to interact I just started reading more and more. Which reminds me, I'm in the midst of writing a highly pertinent chapter to the subject of this discourse at the moment.
