This one took me four days to complete. I'm getting faster. Sort of.The reference picture really sucked, so I know a few things are off and vaguely scribbled in. I'm sorry. I hope you can enjoy regardless. It is Johnny Depp, after all.

i love your shading! you are not afraid to just go DARK and I struggle with that. mine are always too light and then my scanner just butt-rapes them from there on out.
I think I like the lips best. they are just so perfect and kissable, and they are so smooth. the whole picture is stupendous, but I can't help but stare at that mouth.

if people are telling YOU to go darker, they will probably just laugh at me.
and I must say, after ripping my eyes away from his mouth long enough to take in the rest of the picture, i really like his nose as well. they are SO hard to draw because they are not lines they are all shading.

I suppose you can look at it that way. I don't know, I just draw exactly what I see. I am a total slave to the reference photo.

This is amazing! I love Capt. Jack, and this is such a great rendering! The likeness is exact (that expression gives me shivers! **drools**), and I love the detailing. Just wonderful!

Colouring it, eh? That hadn't really occurred to me. Cool suggestion, maybe I should do that in future pieces.

This is very nice, and yes that reference photo isn't the greatest. My only suggestions would be to darken the hair and bandanna so they are darker than the face. Right now the lightness of his bandanna takes the emphasis away from his face, and with such a handsome face its a shame.
Lovely work and I hope you draw more of him. Captain Jack inspired me to get back into pencil drawings a year ago.
