i used to have a bunch of garbage pail kid stickers as a kid. i like them. though it's not really the kind of thing that i typically go for. it just happens to be that steven universe is shaped like a gross baby

it's actually supposed to be more pseudo-scary than actually scary. the style is loosely based off stuff i find to be funny or cute in a stupid way, such as cheesy practical horror effects or deep sea fish for example, which are also commonly considered scary. i don't really think u can make a static image legitimately scary, so I just try to make it funny in a disruptive or dissonant way.
this probably isn't the best representation of my artistic sensibilities tho, it's kinda just something i mindlessly whipped together as an exercise bcus i hadn't touched 3d sculpting in a couple years
