Heylook, a non-DARPG canine! I'm working more on the world and characters for #EnfieldFields than Enfield Fields itself ='D It's more roleplay than kennel, so I'm starting to spend more time on finding and creating characters (including surrounding species, like enfields) than finding breedable fantasy breeds ='D Still, I think Eiru will be a denizen, rather than an outsider.

I started this somewhere around 9:30pm. When I started getting sleepy, I figured it was around 12am or 1am, the hours I usually go to sleep. When I checked the cellphone clock, it read 5:30am. I thought it was wrong, cause the cellphone sometimes goes crazy, but nope, computer said 5:30am, too. So here I'd spend eight hours straight on… just the lines… and I hadn't even noticed! Cleaning the edges from pixelation and blocking out the separate areas took two and some other hours. Adding more areas took another two hours or something and I finally chose the final colors and lay down the final colors and markings somewhere when I didn't check the clock.

It said "thin", so once again, I use the sighthound type. The wings look large cause I used actual wing anatomy, from a long-billed corella. It got bigger when I remembered that the primary and secondary feathers were supposed to be detatched. When I erased the first draft, I accidentally removed the three ribbons coming from the ear, now she has one pair, but it suits her. The mane is shorter down the throat, but longhair at the sides, since that's how it looked on the sheet. I tried a slit pupil, but in the end, it looked better plain. The thickest part of the tail may be meant to be a feather, but I decided it was an actual tail, kind of resembling an otter's. I think I missed a row of feathers from the feathers behind the ears, but I'll draw those in the partner's ears. This character can miss a row or two. It won't hurt. The halo is meant to form horns.

What I'd like to know is how sketching/lineart could possibly stretch on for eight hours =/ I had one recently that I stopped counting for at seven hours on the second day, but that had lots and lots of lines of flowy hair and many variations. I actually should've been working on that this weekend, but again, I really hadn't realized how much time I'd used.

Wallpaper size available. Do not alter, remove the signature, redistribute, reupload or do anything with it that isn't setting it as a private desktop wallpaper.
