Okay... I see... You say this is a mini-region right? So you have the outline, but do you have some kind of imagery in your head where you see these places? (Like what would make them unique) One of the best ways to stay motivated with maps is to picture what these places have in your imagination. Now as far as how I did it I used Photoshop, but don't be alarmed... You can do the same thing with GIMP (a free program similar to Photoshop)... Have you tried that program before?
