Love this, you nailed the GBA style instead of the traditional "I made it 16 bit" - there's a huge difference.

This is pretty cool. I can imagine the gameplay: when you play Ballad of Gales, it will pop up with a map, and it will take you where you select, or at least in the general direction. And fighting would be the classic arm range damage kind of thing. It would probably be a big hit, if it were to be published as an official game.

I was thinking about making a game similar to this a few months ago. I wanted to make a sidescrolling Zelda-esque game with sea travel. I ended up choosing something else, but this looks very nice.
