The reason i think that they are both male is because, for Frisk, i ship him with Sans and i love yaoi but Chara being male is the thought of Asriel and him playing as kids and from personal experience, young boys play better together than a boy and girl and i thought it would be kinda funny to see Toriel put makeup on Chara.
