As I've been playing through Hollow Knight I've grown quite fond of some of the bug designs, The mantis's especially (even though they're not the best tribe tbh hgghds), and after A bit more thinking on it and whatnot, I made an fc. I've made HK fc's before but out of all of them I like this bab the most tbh.

This is Lan-Mei! AKA "Lan-Mei of Orchids", a stowaway in the Queen's Gardens albeit the reason why she is such is by accident. Taking residence in a room full of orchid-like flowers which she tends to in honor and thanks for not being thrown to the Mantis Traitors. She rarely leaves such the place, the only times she does being when looking for food or scouting a way out.
Though she Is a Mantis she's not the best at climbing or using her claws for combat perhaps it's due to her being a younger Mantis being only 11-13 or maybe not enough practice, she prefers not to fight anyway.

Whilst she is called "Lan-Mei of Orchids" Mei isn't a pure Orchid Mantis, she's only half. Her father was a Male warrior mantis (later became a traitor) from the Mantis village in the Fungal Wastes. While her mother was from an Orchid Mantis tribe from a nearby-ish land.

Her lore/design may change. I haven't played all of HK yet so I only know so much lore + I'm still a little bit unsure about her mostly pink palette? but eh we'll see. I might also line her reference...though I'm decently proud of the lineless look I think it might add lines for better detail's sake but ye.
