THEN (2010)
Hex is a hermaphordite demon (implied bisexuality). First it was Hedron and Vixen, two jesters of the underworld until they killed a fellow demon and was banished onto Earth ten thousand years ago. They could not separate unless it was a new or full moon, depending on the month. There was a ritual that needed to be performed in order for the two of them to split apart once and for all, but I forget how that goes… I just know that they had to get with a human during some part of it which I call the “Complex Sex of Hex.”
Technically Hex is an “it”, we’re going to say “he” to save us all the grammatical nightmare. He likes being a male more than a female.
He was not at all involved in the Transformers.
NOW
Daemon was a hybrid breed of Animox, designed by Arthropod; a cat and a Seeker combined. He built Hex to help him with his work; a bot that can switch between mech and fem. The purpose for that is anyone’s guess.
When Daemon died due to a Decepticon raid, Hex was left by himself. He caught a few scraplets and, using his CNA, reformatted them to be his little soldiers. Turns out they were more like his children with the way they acted. They and the other scraplets fought for survival on a dead Cybertron against the sentinel Insecticons.
